WHO WE ARE

Hello. We are the Edwards family and we are pioneer missionaries serving with the Gospel Preacher Association. The Lord has graciously allowed us to serve Him from the U.S. to Costa Rica, Panama, Portugal and the Dominican Republic, but our primary calling is to Brazil. We have been travelling to Brazil and preaching from North to South since 1998. We have planted churches in the Amazon, helped churches in São Paulo and are currently serving in the Catarina Mountains of southern Brazil - in the heart of one of the most Gospel needy areas of the country. Our focus has always been on areas where there is a need for Biblically sound, Gospel preaching churches. Since 2010, we have labored to establish the Igreja Batista Biblica Internacional (International Bible Baptist Church) in Lages, Santa Catarina.
Lages has over 150,000 souls and there is much opportunity to spread the Gospel in this region. There are 80 subdivisions (bairros) without sound churches to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In addition, over 200 towns and cities surround Lages in our state, and it our goal to do all we can to reach these communities for Christ. The Pioneer Missions Initiative is a special project to reach these communties as well as new areas in the Amazon basin, as well. We are developing evangelistic strategies to reach these regions with home Bible studies, preaching points and VBS style ministries. We also want to partner with US churches to organize short-term mission trips involving VBS teams, construction and medical missions teams. With the help of the Gospel Preacher Association (GPA), and other mission teams, we are able to minister by land, sea and air. With the Gospel ship, Mercy's Vessel, GPA Mobilization Ministries and GPA Youth Missions , we are praying for God to open more doors and help us reach more souls for His kingdom and glory.
